BigQuery

Polytomic connects BigQuery to your databases, SaaS tools, and cloud storage for ETL and reverse ETL. Replicate Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and application data into BigQuery, and push modeled results back out to your CRM and operational tools, without writing code.

BigQuery logo

Full bidirectional ETL

Sync in both directions between BigQuery and your systems.

Optimized for scale

Efficient operations minimize BigQuery compute costs.

No bucket required

Writes load directly into BigQuery without staging through your own storage.

Example workflows

Consolidate Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and Stripe into BigQuery

What you can sync

Move data between BigQuery and your databases, SaaS tools, and cloud storage with automatic table creation, schema evolution, and flexible write behavior.

From BigQuery

Tables and views across your datasets
Custom SQL queries as model sources
Incremental reads using a tracking field
Storage Read API with automatic REST fallback
STRUCT, ARRAY, JSON, and NUMERIC types

To BigQuery

Datasets and tables created automatically
Keyed merge and upsert, or append for event data
Create, update, create or update, replace, and append
Soft deletes by default with optional hard deletes
Datetime partitioning on the destination table

How it works

Connect BigQuery with a service account and Polytomic treats it as a full analytical source and destination. Load from your SaaS tools, databases, and cloud storage, then read modeled results back out to your CRM and operational systems on the same platform.

Destination writes do not require you to provision a staging bucket. Records stream into a BigQuery load job directly, with temporary tables handling merge and rebuild internally, so setup is credentials and nothing else.

  • Connect with a service account, or workload identity federation
  • Discover datasets, tables, and views automatically
  • Read in full, incrementally on a tracking field, or by SQL query
  • Create datasets and tables and add columns as your source evolves
  • Choose merge, append, replace, or rebuild behavior per sync
  • Monitor sync health, record volume, and failures from one interface

How to set up

Polytomic authenticates to BigQuery with service account JSON. Workload identity federation backed by AWS is available on Enterprise, and application default credentials work on self hosted deployments. You can override the project ID for cross project access and set a location so created datasets land in the right region.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Google Cloud, create a service account with BigQuery access
  2. 2Download the service account JSON key
  3. 3In Polytomic, navigate to Connections, then Add Connection, then BigQuery
  4. 4Paste the service account key
  5. 5Optionally set a project ID override and a location
  6. 6Test the connection and click Save

See the documentation for full setup details.
