Attio relationships can be set by pointing at a unique field on the related record, such as an organization's domain, rather than needing its Attio identifier. Where a column holds several related identifiers, the record is associated with each valid one. A reference that resolves to nothing will fail that record by default, so it is usually best to sync organizations before the people and deals that point at them.

What will not carry across?

Deletions, since writes into Attio cover create and update only. Notes are readable from Attio but not writable into it, as are meetings, call recordings and workspace members. New lists and new attributes cannot be created by a sync, so build the object and field structure you want in Attio first. New select and multiselect options can be created automatically if you enable that setting.
