Which NetSuite connector should I use?

SuiteAnalytics, if you are licensed for the Connect module. It is purpose built as a source and exposes the broad analytical table catalogue, custom columns included. The regular NetSuite connector is the right choice when SuiteAnalytics is unavailable or you need to write back into NetSuite, and its catalogue is narrower and limited to four concurrent objects.

What has to be in place in NetSuite first?

Quite a lot. The SuiteAnalytics Connect module, OAuth 2.0 enabled, a machine to machine integration carrying the SuiteAnalytics Connect scope, a web services role with that permission, a dedicated user assigned to the role, and an RSA certificate pair whose public half you upload to NetSuite. Polytomic then needs the account ID, role ID, client ID, certificate ID and private key, and IP allowlisting may apply as well.

How does an ERP row become a document?

Accepted Answer

One model row becomes one BSON document, with SuiteAnalytics types carried across: character and CLOB fields as text, integers and doubles as numbers, dates and timestamps as BSON datetimes, and booleans as booleans. If you want structure rather than a flat document, map dotted destination names to build nested documents.

Does the ETL read everything each run?

Accepted Answer

The first run does. After that it works object by object: anything SuiteAnalytics exposes with both a last modified field and a unique identifier resumes from a checkpoint, and anything without falls back to a full read. Transaction line and inventory assignment tables get their own parent based handling.

Where do the documents go?

Accepted Answer

A collection you select, or one Polytomic creates against an existing database. MongoDB materializes the database itself if permissions allow, so there is no separate create database step to run beforehand. Each object you model becomes its own collection.
