What does a Harmonic saved search actually resolve to?

Accepted Answer

A saved query inside Harmonic, not a stored snapshot and not a special record type. Polytomic runs it at sync time and reads whatever currently matches, which is why results legitimately change between runs even when nothing on your side changed. Only team visible saved searches of the companies or persons type are offered.

How does the nested data land?

Accepted Answer

Company highlights, funding rounds, person highlights and education come across as native JSON columns, so their structure survives and MySQL's JSON functions can query into them directly. Scalar text lands as LONGTEXT and numbers without declared precision as DECIMAL(65,30).

Which Harmonic lists and searches are available?

Accepted Answer

Shared Harmonic lists containing companies, people or investors, plus company saved searches and people saved searches. Older connections expose company and people watchlists separately. Private saved searches, and lists not shared with your team, are deliberately excluded, so sharing it in Harmonic is almost always the fix when something is missing from the picker.

Does every run re-read everything?

Accepted Answer

No. Every ETL run restarts the saved search or list query and paginates through all the current results. The cursors involved are page cursors within a single run, not checkpoints that persist between runs. Harmonic advertises bulk source mode only, with no incremental reader at all, so size your schedule accordingly.

What credentials does Harmonic need?

An API key from the Harmonic usage dashboard, which Polytomic sends in the apikey header and validates against Harmonic's auth endpoint. There is no OAuth flow. What you can read is bounded by that key's Harmonic subscription, and Deal Data fields need both the API entitlement and the Harmonic Deal Data API option enabled on the connection.
