Yes. Polytomic hashes the identifiers before transmission rather than sending raw values for Reddit to hash on arrival. Plaintext in your model is accepted and hashed on the way out, and pre hashed values are generally passed through as they are. So you can build the audience from ordinary columns in Snowflake without raw email addresses travelling in the clear.

Does the Reddit audience update when someone stops matching?

Not on its own. Add mode is add only, and there is an explicit remove mode for taking members out, but Reddit does not expose a mirror mode in this connector that reconciles membership against your model automatically. Meta and Microsoft do. So if your audience needs to shrink as well as grow, model the people who should be removed and run a remove sync rather than assuming it will correct itself.
