What can Polytomic pull from Gong into Snowflake?

Trackers are often the most immediately useful table, because a tracker hit is a structured signal you can count and join, where a transcript is text you have to do something with first.

Are reads incremental?

Optionally, and only for calls and transcripts. Those use a time watermark with a rolling seven day lookback, which catches records that arrive late relative to when the call happened. Be clear about what this is not: it is not update complete change capture, and the documentation is explicit that changes landing outside the window can be missed. If completeness matters, run a periodic full ETL read alongside the incremental schedule rather than assuming the watermark covers everything.

Are deletes captured?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no delete event or tombstone mechanism for Gong, so a call removed in Gong will not be marked as removed by an incremental run. Treat Gong as snapshot based for reconciliation purposes and rely on periodic full reads to remove records that are no longer present. This is the reason not to describe incremental calls and transcripts as delete aware, even though they are incremental.

When are transcripts available, and what access is required?

Transcripts are returned only once Gong has finished making them available, which is not immediate after a call ends. The seven day lookback exists partly to catch those late arrivals, but there is no guaranteed processing time, so do not build anything that assumes a transcript will be in the data warehouse within a fixed window of the call. On access, the connection requires a Gong admin to authorize, and each dataset needs its corresponding Gong API permission granted.
