Which NetSuite connector should I use for Snowflake?

There are two, and the choice matters. NetSuite SuiteAnalytics Connect is the better fit for loading a data warehouse, because it exposes every SuiteAnalytics table and column your role can see, including custom tables, discovered straight from the NetSuite metadata. The standard NetSuite connector uses SuiteTalk REST and SOAP, and is the right one when you want API records or two way syncing with other apps. If you have the SuiteAnalytics Connect licence and the goal is broad extraction, use that one.

What NetSuite data can I sync to Snowflake?

Through SuiteTalk you get the record types your configured role can see, read from the REST metadata catalogue, plus a combined Transactions object. Some records are handled over SOAP, including credit memos, customer deposits, payments and refunds, discount items, employees, invoices, non inventory sale items and sales orders. Through SuiteAnalytics Connect you get the full set of SuiteAnalytics tables and columns available to your role, which is normally a much wider surface.

What do I need to set up in NetSuite first?

For SuiteTalk, turn on SOAP and REST Web Services and token based authentication, create an Integration record, make an API only role with the right permissions, assign a user to it, create an access token, then bring the account, consumer and token details to Polytomic. For SuiteAnalytics Connect you need the licence, OAuth 2.0 enabled, an Integration with the machine to machine grant and the SuiteAnalytics Connect scope, a role with the right permissions, and an RSA key pair with the public certificate uploaded.

Does NetSuite sync capture deleted records?

Accepted Answer

No, and this is worth being straight about. Neither NetSuite path wires up delete events today. The SOAP types do mention deleted records and SuiteAnalytics metadata does mark which tables can be hard deleted, but none of that is turned into delete changes in the sync. A full resync can reconcile rows that are no longer present, depending on how the destination handles it, but incremental reads should not be treated as delete capture.

Because an ERP is where finance operates, not where the business gets analysed. Reporting inside NetSuite is bounded by NetSuite, so linking orders and invoices to CRM activity, product usage or support history means getting the data out first. ETL into a data warehouse gives you that, and it also relieves the pressure of running heavy reports against a system your finance team needs to stay responsive.
