Decimal values map to NUMERIC with their precision and scale preserved, and values without a declared precision fall back to a wide NUMERIC so nothing is silently rounded. That matters more for a ledger than for most sources, since a rounding difference in a general ledger table is the kind of thing that surfaces during a reconciliation rather than during testing. Dates become DATE and timestamps become TIMESTAMP, so period filtering behaves normally.

Are voided QuickBooks transactions removed from Redshift?

Yes, for objects QuickBooks includes in its change tracking feed. The connector reads that feed, treats a deleted status as a real delete, and applies it with a one day overlap and up to a ten day lookback. Redshift marks the row with a deleted at timestamp by default, or removes it outright with hard deletes enabled. One constraint: hard deletes cannot be combined with excluding the Polytomic timestamp columns, since the delete keys off them. Plain last updated reads do not surface deletions at all.
