CSV URL

Polytomic connects a CSV file behind a URL to your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools for reliable ETL. Pull rows from a partner file, an exported report, or an API-served CSV, without writing code.

Automatic field type detection

Number, boolean, and date columns are typed automatically from a sample of the file, not left as text.

Flexible authentication

Connect with basic auth, a bearer token, a query parameter, or an OAuth client credential.

Follows file redirects

Up to three redirects are followed, resolving signed links from object storage and file-sharing services.

Example workflows

Sync a partner's shared CSV report into your data warehouse

What you can sync

Point Polytomic at a CSV file's URL to sync it into your data warehouse, databases, or SaaS tools.

From CSV URL

A CSV file served over HTTP or HTTPS
Comma, tab, or semicolon delimited rows
Columns typed automatically as text, numbers, booleans, or dates
Header rows mapped to fields by name

How it works

Connect a CSV file by its URL, adding a header, query parameter, or OAuth credential if the file is protected. Polytomic reads the rows and syncs them into your data warehouse, databases, or SaaS tools.

Each connection reads a single file. Add a separate connection for every CSV you want to sync. Numbers, dates, and true or false values are typed automatically from a sample of the rows.

  • Number, date, and boolean columns detected automatically from the file
  • Comma, tab, and semicolon delimited files all read the same way
  • Connect with basic auth, a bearer token, or an OAuth credential
  • Custom headers and query parameters supported for protected files
  • Signed URL redirects followed for links from file-sharing services
  • One CSV file synced per connection you create

How to set up

How to get connected
  1. 1In Polytomic, go to Connections, click Add connection, and select CSV URL
  2. 2Enter the CSV file's base URL and any required headers or query parameters
  3. 3If the file is protected, select an authentication method and enter the credential, then click Save
