Freshservice

Polytomic connects Freshservice to your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools for ITSM ETL. Replicate tickets, changes, problems, and releases into your data warehouse and other systems so service desk performance can be reported alongside the rest of your operational data, without writing code.

The ITSM record set

Tickets, changes, problems, and releases in one connection.

Incremental on all four

Every main object filters on updated time so runs move only what changed.

Ticket fields discovered

Ticket custom fields are read from your config and flattened into columns.

What you can sync

Freshservice is supported as a source. Read the ITSM object set and land it in your data warehouse, databases, or SaaS tools.

How it works

Connect Freshservice with an API key and your subdomain and choose the objects you want. Polytomic reads your ITSM records into your data warehouse, databases, or SaaS tools, so service desk metrics can be defined by you rather than by the built in reports.

All four main objects read incrementally on updated time, so routine ETL runs stay small. Ticket custom fields are discovered from your own configuration and flattened into columns alongside the raw JSON, so you can query them either way.

  • Connect Freshservice with an API key and your subdomain
  • Read tickets, changes, problems, releases, and workspaces
  • Sync incrementally on updated time for all four main objects
  • Get ticket custom fields both flattened and as raw JSON
  • Retry rate limited requests with bounded backoff
  • Monitor sync health, record volume, and failures from one interface

How to set up

Polytomic authenticates to Freshservice using basic authentication with your API key. You supply your subdomain, which is used to build the request host against the standard Freshservice domain.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Freshservice, generate an API key from your profile settings
  2. 2Note your Freshservice subdomain
  3. 3In Polytomic, navigate to Connections, then Add Connection, then Freshservice
  4. 4Enter the subdomain and API key
  5. 5Test the connection
  6. 6Select tickets, changes, problems, releases, or workspaces and click Save

See the documentation for full setup details.
