Iterable

Polytomic connects Iterable to your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools for ETL and reverse ETL. Sync user profiles and events from your data warehouse and other systems into Iterable, and read users, events, campaigns, and lists back out for reporting, without writing code.

Iterable logo

Read and write Iterable

Push user profiles and events in, and pull campaign and event data back out.

Custom profile fields

Write any Iterable data field, discovered from your own account.

Bulk event tracking

Send custom events in batches with automatic deduplication by event ID.

Example workflows

Sync user profiles from your data warehouse into Iterable

What you can sync

Move data between Iterable and your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools, writing profiles and events in and reading engagement data back out.

From Iterable

Users with their data fields, read incrementally
Email, push, in app, SMS, web push, purchase, and custom events
Campaigns
Lists with id, name, type, and creation date
Bulk reads through the Iterable export API

To Iterable

User profiles, created and updated
Matching on email or user ID
Custom data fields discovered from your Iterable account
Custom events with names, timestamps, and data fields
Batched event writes with automatic ID generation

How it works

Connect Iterable with an API key and sync in either direction. Push user profiles and events from your data warehouse so campaigns can target on data marketing would not otherwise have, and read users, events, campaigns, and lists back out so engagement can be reported next to revenue.

Polytomic discovers the data fields configured in your own Iterable account, so custom profile attributes appear as mappable destination fields rather than needing to be declared by hand.

  • Connect Iterable with a server side API key
  • Write user profiles matching on email or user ID
  • Send custom events in batches with generated event IDs
  • Read users and events incrementally through the export API
  • Choose which event types to read on the connection
  • Monitor sync health, record volume, and failures from one interface

How to set up

Polytomic authenticates to Iterable with a standard server side API key sent in a request header. Once connected, your account's configured user data fields are discovered automatically and become mappable fields for writes. For source syncs you select which event types to read on the connection itself.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Iterable, create a standard server side API key
  2. 2In Polytomic, navigate to Connections, then Add Connection, then Iterable
  3. 3Paste your Iterable API key
  4. 4Select the event types you want to read
  5. 5Test the connection
  6. 6Click Save

See the documentation for full setup details.
