How it works

Connect m3ter and Polytomic reads your billing and pricing model into your data warehouse: accounts and the plans attached to them, the products, plans, and pricings that define what things cost, the bills produced, and the line items that make up each bill.

Bill line items are the object that carries the analysis. An invoice total tells you what a customer paid; the line items tell you which metered dimensions produced it, which is what you need to understand revenue by product and spot where consumption is concentrated.
