Mixpanel

Polytomic connects Mixpanel to your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools for product analytics ETL. Replicate raw events and user profiles into your data warehouse and other systems with typed columns discovered from your own Mixpanel schema, without writing code.

Raw event export

Full event detail from the export API, not pre-aggregated report output.

Typed property columns

Your Mixpanel property definitions become real columns, with a JSON bag kept too.

US and EU residency

Connect to Mixpanel's US or EU data residency servers.

What you can sync

Mixpanel is supported as a source. Read raw events and user profiles, then land them in your data warehouse, databases, or SaaS tools.

People, the user profile records
Typed property columns from your Mixpanel definitions
A JSON property bag preserving everything else
US and EU residency endpoints

How it works

Connect Mixpanel with a service account and project ID, then sync events and people into your data warehouse. Events come from the raw export API rather than a reporting endpoint, so you get the underlying detail and can define funnels and cohorts yourself instead of inheriting Mixpanel's aggregation.

Mixpanel properties are schemaless, so Polytomic reads your project's property definitions to build typed columns for the properties it recognizes, while keeping the complete property bag as JSON so nothing is lost. The schema is refreshed periodically, which means brand new custom properties appear on a slight delay.

  • Connect with a Mixpanel service account and project ID
  • Choose your US or EU residency region
  • Read raw events one day at a time with a built in reporting delay rewind
  • Read people incrementally on last seen, deduplicated
  • Get typed columns plus a full JSON property bag
  • Monitor sync health, record volume, and failures from one interface

How to set up

Polytomic authenticates to Mixpanel using a service account rather than a project API secret. You supply the service account username and secret along with your project ID, and select whether the project lives on Mixpanel's US or EU servers.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Mixpanel, create a service account with access to your project
  2. 2Note your Mixpanel project ID
  3. 3In Polytomic, navigate to Connections, then Add Connection, then Mixpanel
  4. 4Enter the service account username, secret, and project ID
  5. 5Select your US or EU data residency region
  6. 6Test the connection and click Save

See the documentation for full setup details.
