Issues synced incrementally

Picks up newly created, resolved, and recently active conversations.

Custom field definitions

Account, contact, and issue custom fields exposed as their own objects.

Context onto accounts

Push plan, usage, and revenue so support sees the whole relationship.

Example workflows

Replicate Pylon issues and accounts into your data warehouse

What you can sync

Move data between Pylon and your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools, reading support activity out and writing account context back in.

From Pylon

Issues, synced incrementally
Accounts and contacts
Account, contact, and issue custom field definitions
Teams, users, and user roles
Knowledge bases, tags, and ticket forms

To Pylon

Accounts, with create, update, and upsert
Contacts, with create, update, and upsert
Matching on your own external ID
Plan, usage, and revenue fields for support context

How it works

Connect Pylon and sync in both directions. Pull issues, accounts, contacts, and your custom field definitions into your data warehouse so support load can be measured against revenue, and push account context back so the person answering knows who they are helping.

Issues sync incrementally by looking at what was created, resolved, or had recent message activity, with a short lookback so nothing slips through between runs. The rest of the objects are read in full, which suits how rarely they change.

  • Connect Pylon with an API key
  • Read issues incrementally on creation, resolution, and recent activity
  • Read accounts, contacts, teams, users, and user roles
  • Read custom field definitions for accounts, contacts, and issues
  • Write accounts and contacts, matched on your own external ID
  • Monitor sync health, record volume, and failures from one interface

How to set up

Authentication is a Pylon API key. Once connected the issue, account, contact, custom field, team, and configuration objects appear for selection, and accounts and contacts become available as write destinations.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Pylon, generate an API key
  2. 2In Polytomic, navigate to Connections, then Add Connection, then Pylon
  3. 3Paste the key and test the connection
  4. 4For reads, select issues, accounts, contacts, and the objects you need
  5. 5For writes, build a model and map it to accounts or contacts
  6. 6Set your external ID, choose a schedule, and click Save

See the documentation for full setup details.
