Railway

Polytomic connects Railway to your data warehouse, databases, and other systems for ETL. Sync Railway projects, deployments, and usage data out, without writing code.

Usage and cost metrics

CPU, memory, network, and disk usage synced by project, or by project and service.

Scales with your workspace

Services and environments batch through each project's own pages. Thousands of projects do not mean thousands of requests.

Incremental project syncs

Only projects that changed since the last run sync again. Everything else reads fresh each time.

What you can sync

Railway is a source. Polytomic reads projects, services, environments, deployments, and usage metrics from it. That data can land in your data warehouse, another database, or any other system Polytomic connects to.

From Railway

Projects, including public, temporary, and expired ones
Services within each project
Environments, including production and preview
Deployments with status, URLs, and creator details
CPU, memory, network, and disk usage by project or service

How it works

Connect Railway with an API key. Polytomic reads your projects, along with their services, environments, and deployments. Usage metrics track CPU, memory, network, and disk consumption by project, or by project and service together.

Railway defines a fixed set of objects and fields. There is no per-workspace schema to discover before your first sync. Projects sync incrementally after that. Only what changed moves on later runs. Services, environments, and deployments read fresh from Railway on every sync. Reads batch through each project's own pages, avoiding a separate request per service or environment.

  • Projects, services, environments, and deployments read directly from Railway
  • Usage metrics track CPU, memory, network, and disk by project
  • Projects sync incrementally; other objects refresh in full each run
  • Deletions on Railway show up as deletions in your destination
  • Usage metrics reflect a rolling 30 day window each run
  • Nested project reads avoid one request per service or environment

How to set up

Railway connections authenticate with an API token generated in your Railway account. Account and workspace tokens are both accepted, but project tokens are not.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Railway, create an account or workspace API token from your account settings
  2. 2In Polytomic, go to Connections, click Add connection, and select Railway
  3. 3Enter the API key, then click Save
