Tigris

Polytomic connects Tigris to your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools for ETL and reverse ETL. Sync files into Tigris from any of them, or read objects back out to your data warehouse, without writing code.

Automatic object discovery

New files in the bucket are discovered and read as tables without any manual mapping.

Every format, compressed or not

Read and write CSV, JSON, and Parquet, including gzip, zstd, and bzip2 compressed files.

File details captured automatically

Each record picks up the source object's key, timestamp, and size without extra configuration.

Example workflows

What you can sync

Move files between Tigris and your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools, in either direction.

From Tigris

CSV, JSON, and Parquet objects
Gzip, zstd, and bzip2 compressed files
Multiple files combined into one table
Partitioned folders read as separate tables

To Tigris

CSV, JSON, and Parquet files
A single file replaced on every run
A new timestamped file on every run
Incremental files with only changed records

How it works

Connect Tigris with an access key ID, secret access key, and bucket name, and Polytomic treats it as a file-based source and destination. Every object in the bucket is discovered automatically and read as its own table, in CSV, JSON, or Parquet.

Each sync reads the current contents of the files it matches, so there is no tracking field to configure. Writing back to Tigris supports replacing a single file, writing a new timestamped snapshot, or appending just the records that changed.

  • Objects discovered automatically as CSV, JSON, or Parquet tables
  • Compressed files read transparently, including gzip, zstd, and bzip2
  • Multiple files combined into a single table when needed
  • Folders matching a directory pattern read as separate tables
  • Replace, snapshot, or incremental file written on every run
  • Object key, timestamp, and size captured with every synced record

How to set up

Tigris connections authenticate with an access key ID and secret access key scoped to the bucket you want to sync. Create these credentials in your Tigris account before connecting.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Tigris, create an access key ID and secret access key for the bucket you want to sync
  2. 2In Polytomic, go to Connections, click Add connection, and select Tigris
  3. 3Enter the access key ID, secret access key, and bucket name, then click Save
