Automatic report discovery

Polytomic reads the analytics report types available to your account, including content owner reports when you connect a partner account.

API quota respected

Requests to YouTube's Data and Reporting APIs are throttled to stay under your account's daily quota and pause automatically when a limit is reached.

Backfill and incremental syncs

New syncs pull your full report history once. Every run after that reads only the reports generated since the last sync.

Example workflows

Build channel and video performance dashboards in your data warehouse

What you can sync

Read metadata, comments, captions, and analytics reports from YouTube, and sync them into the systems your team already reports from.

From YouTube Analytics

Videos, channels, and playlists with statistics
Comments and replies
Captions and subtitle tracks
Analytics reports: views, watch time, traffic sources, and devices
Content owner revenue, rights, and claims reports for partner accounts

How it works

Connect a Google account to authorize YouTube Analytics. Polytomic reads video, channel, and playlist metadata, comments, and captions, plus the analytics reports available to your account. Data lands in your data warehouse, databases, or analytics tools.

New syncs backfill your full report history once. After that, only the reports generated since the last run sync. Requests are throttled automatically to stay under YouTube's daily API quotas. Content owner accounts can also sync revenue, rights, and claims reports.

  • Connect a Google account with YouTube Analytics access enabled
  • Discover every report type available to your channel automatically
  • Sync video, channel, playlist, comment, and caption metadata
  • Backfill full report history once, then sync incrementally
  • Requests throttle automatically to stay under YouTube's daily API quota
  • Add a content owner ID for revenue and rights reports

How to set up

Connect YouTube Analytics by authorizing a Google account through OAuth. Polytomic requests the scopes needed to read your channel's data. If you manage channels through a YouTube content owner (partner) account, add your content owner ID after authorizing before you save the connection.

How to get connected
  1. 1In Polytomic, go to Connections, click Add connection, and select YouTube Analytics
  2. 2Click Connect and complete Google's OAuth flow
  3. 3Enter your content owner ID if you manage a content owner account, then click Save
