Zendesk Support

Polytomic connects Zendesk Support to your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools for support ETL and reverse ETL. Replicate tickets, comments, users, and organizations into your data warehouse and other systems, and write account context back onto Zendesk users and organizations, without writing code.

What you can sync

Move data between Zendesk Support and your data warehouse, databases, and SaaS tools, reading support activity out and writing account context back in.

From Zendesk Support

Tickets, ticket comments, and ticket events
Ticket metrics and ticket metric events
Users, organizations, and their memberships
Ticket, user, and organization field definitions
Groups, brands, satisfaction ratings, and Talk calls

To Zendesk Support

Users, with create, update, and delete
Organizations, with create, update, and delete
Tickets, created or updated
Custom objects with fields and lookup relationships

How it works

Connect Zendesk Support and sync in both directions. Pull tickets, comments, events, metrics, users, and organizations into your data warehouse so support load can be measured against revenue, and push context back so agents see the whole account.

Each Zendesk object becomes a table in your destination with its fields as columns, so a tickets table lands ready to query. The objects that actually grow, meaning tickets, comments, events, users, and organizations, all checkpoint incrementally.

  • Connect Zendesk with OAuth or an API token and your subdomain
  • Read tickets, comments, events, metrics, and metric events
  • Read users, organizations, memberships, groups, and brands
  • Read the ticket, user, and organization field definitions
  • Write users, organizations, tickets, and custom objects
  • Monitor sync health, record volume, and failures from one interface

How to set up

Three authentication routes are available: Zendesk OAuth with read and write scopes, an API token paired with an account email, or your own OAuth client credentials. Your Zendesk subdomain is required in all cases.

How to get connected
  1. 1Note your Zendesk subdomain
  2. 2In Polytomic, navigate to Connections, then Add Connection, then Zendesk Support
  3. 3Authorize with OAuth, or supply an API token and account email
  4. 4Test the connection
  5. 5For reads, select the objects you want and choose a destination
  6. 6For writes, build a model and map to users, organizations, or custom objects

See the documentation for full setup details.
